Presented by the Hon. Harold E. Lovell Minister of Finance, the Economy and Public Administration, Antigua and Barbuda
From the document:
Economic output in Antigua and Barbuda is projected to contract by 3.2 percent in 2011. This further contraction in the economy bears out the fact that Antigua and Barbuda is highly dependent on tourism. As unemployment and growth continue to be depressed in the US and Europe, visitor arrivals and visitor spending will remain suppressed. It should be noted that the countries in the ECCU that experienced growth in 2011 were less reliant on tourism than Antigua and Barbuda and Anguilla.
