The National Energy Policy of the Bahamas

The Bahamian government considered the exorbitant energy costs and believed that it was timely to develop a National Energy Policy. This policy sets the framework by which alternative sources of energy will be explored, inclusive of renewable energy and conservation measures. This will be done in an effort to reduce the importation of fossil fuels and lower its greenhouse gases emissions in order to shrink it carbon footprint.
